We participated in the Reflect Festival 2025
In the context of enhancing awareness in the Cypriot innovation ecosystem about NBG Business Seeds' innovation activities, and after our successful presence last year, we are taking part this year as Silver Partners in the Reflect Festival 2025. The Reflect Festival took place on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 May 2025, at the Kolla Factory, in Limassol Cyprus. Executives of NBG Business Seeds and National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) participated in the booth where visitors were given information about NBG Business Seeds' support for the Greek ecosystem and the Corporate Banking operations provided by National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd.
Mr. Ernestos Panayiotou, General Manager of NBG Transformation, Strategy & International Activities, participated on Thursday 15 May in the panel “Breaking Bread Through Fintech: How Emerging Partnerships are Shaping New Services, Infrastructure and Inclusion." The panel, comprised of Ms Ugne Buraciene, CEO of Payabl, and Mr. Seif Amr, co-founder and COO of Thndr, discussed issues related to the way Fintech transforms access to financial services and strengthens entrepreneurship, thereby enhancing digital and financial inclusion across a number of areas.
Dr. Spyros Arsenis, Head of NBG Business Innovation Development, participated on Thursday 15 May in the panel “Live your myth in SEE: Why invest or operate your startup in SEE?” where, together with Mr. Thomas Athanasiou, Co-Founder of L-Stone Capital, Eleonore Cottarel, Partner Investing for Purpose, George Karantonis, Partner at Metavallon.VC, Ms Melina Mai, Investor Manager BigPi Ventures, Ms Dora Trachana, Partner of Uni.Fund VC, and Ms. Dusa Duffek Partner of 0100 & Co-founder/Board Member of The doers Company, discussed issues regarding the opportunities in SE Europe, both for investors and startups. On Friday 16 May, he participated in the panels “From bold ideas to big wins – SEE how they did it!” and “Office hours for SEE startups”. At the first panel together with Mr. Nicolas Chrysostomou, Founder & CEO Piney, Mr. Yiannis Gavrielides Co-founder & CEO Covve, Mr. Pavlos Loizou, CEO Ask Wire, Mr. Antonis Markopoulos Founder & CEO Prosperty drew attention to financing opportunities in SE Europe from the perspective of successful regional founders. On the second panel, comprised of representative of Greek VCs L-Stone Capital, Investing for Purpose, Metavallon VC, BiPi Ventures, Uni.Fund VC and Cyprus seeds, the audience had the opportunity to learn and ask questions about the challenges of entrepreneurship in SE Europe.
Last, Mr. George Nikolaou, Strategy Analyst at NBG Business Innovation Development Subdivision, participated throughout the duration of the Festival at the booth of NBG Business Seeds, while he also participated in 2 panels of judges where teams presented their innovative business ideas.
